You have decided to investigate the possibilities of the design and construction of a
new or renovated home. What is the Rivertown Homes by Design process and how
does it work? At our first meeting we will discuss with you your need’s, your goals, your design objectives and the nasty B word, your budget. After this meeting, Rivertown will make a visit to evaluate the possibilities of your site, we will check local ordinances and codes and then we will do some quick rough sketches based on our findings.
At meeting #2 we would review with you our findings, the rough design sketches and
the how this design matches with your established budget. If you approve the direction that we are going, we will review will you and ask you to sign our Design Agreement. After your approval to proceed, we will develop preliminary sketches of floor plans, exterior elevations and site layout.
Meeting #3 will be to review the preliminary sketches and elevations, and we will
begin a specifications outline. After meeting #3 approvals, we will begin creating
scaled drawings, fine tune the specifications outline and review the design and it’s
impact on the budget.
Meeting #4 will be the review of scaled drawings and we will continue to fine tune the specifications. After meeting #4 approvals, we will prepare final drawings and specifications for bidding.
Meeting #5 will be to review the results of the bids for the project and walk thru the proposed construction contract proposal. After this meeting we may be asked to adjust and re bid certain aspects of the project to reflect discussions from the contract presentation. After your approval of the bids and the signing of the contract, we will proceed to the Construction Phase.
